Counselling and Psychotherapy:

Cultivating a safe space for healing, transformation, and personal growth.

Initial Consultation

Choosing the right therapist and counselling approach can be an intimidating process. To ease your concerns, I invite you to schedule a confidential, 30-minute consultation with me. During this session, we will briefly discuss your current situation and what you hope to achieve through therapy.

You have the consultation over the telephone, video link, or in person. The cost of the consultation is £10. If you decide to proceed with therapy, this consultation fee will be deducted from your first therapy session.

This consultation serves as an opportunity for both of us to determine the best way forward. We can delve into the person-centred counselling model I use, as well as explore other integrative approaches that may benefit you. I encourage you to ask any questions you have during our meeting.

At the conclusion of the consultation, you can decide immediately or take some time to consider whether you would like to book further sessions. The choice is entirely up to you.

Modalities

Person Centred / Integrative

In my practice, I embrace an integrative counselling approach, which means that I tailor the therapy to meet your specific needs. This bespoke approach allows me to draw upon various modalities that are most effective in addressing your unique challenges.

At the core of my practice is person-centred therapy, where I believe in providing a non-judgmental and empathetic space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By focusing on your individuality and inherent potential for growth, we can work collaboratively towards healing and personal development.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic explores the interplay between your conscious and unconscious mind, delving into the underlying psychological forces that influence your thoughts, behaviours, and relationships.

Through psychodynamic therapy, we can uncover patterns, unresolved conflicts, and early life experiences that may be contributing to your current struggles. This deeper understanding can foster self-awareness and facilitate meaningful change.

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a practical and goal-oriented therapy that examines the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. By identifying and challenging negative or unhelpful thought patterns, we can work together to develop healthier beliefs and coping strategies. CBT empowers you with practical tools and techniques to manage your challenges, promote positive change, and cultivate resilience.

By drawing upon these modalities, I am able to provide a holistic and comprehensive approach to therapy, tailored to your unique needs and goals. Together, we can navigate your challenges, uncover insights, and facilitate lasting transformation.
